As you guys know, domcomp.com not only performs price comparisons but also has a powerful domain availability check feature. We decided to use this to answer the question of whether there are any single-word domains remaining, during a weekend side-project. The result is RandomDotCom. It's a tiny site who's sole purpose is to give random, one-word, unregistered .com domain.
Some fun facts: There were around 1800 unregistered English word domains. Approximately 20 to 30 get registered each week. In the week after launching RandomDotCom, around 200 were taken! Some examples:
